Learning To Ground Yourself

Learning To Ground Yourself

Feeling grounded is like having a strong foundation. A stability within the body that helps to anchor us into the present.

When we are feeling ungrounded, it’s easy to get swept away by worries, anxieties, and the stresse of of our daily life.

Grounding techniques, whether physical activities like walking barefoot or mental exercises like meditation or mindfulness practices that bring your attention to your surroundings, act as an anchor into the present and help us to remain grounded.

By grounding we pull our awareness back into the present moment and re-engage our senses as we reconnect to the body.

With a stable base allows us to observe our thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them.

Essentially, becoming grounded is the first step to truly being present.
